There are Vietnam tour package I'd actively avoid, the ones that hit Hanoi-Halong-Hoi An-Saigon in seven days like you're collecting achievement badges. I've never seen anyone finish those trips looking happy, mostly just exhausted and vaguely resentful. Vietnam short trip packages that try to cram everything in are worse than doing less in more time, you end up with surface-level experiences that don't connect to anything real. If it sounds too comprehensive it probably is, Vietnam doesn't work that way.
